I'm not sure yet how much I want to take on in terms of contracting. I really want to use the extra time to look into opportunities outside of coding, whether that's finding advisory roles with companies who would benefit from my experience or doing something completely different like developing my photography skills with a view to doing that on a more commercial basis. When I moved country, my intention was ALSO to work part-time and devote myself to "other" projects. The problem was - being a contractor - you take the work when you can get it, and whilst not exactly famine and feast, I've been pretty busy ever since and the kids require more $$ as they get older. So yup, I've spent some more time with the family, I've got new scenary, I've done more voluntary work, and doing more photography - but still not quite there yet.
